Bayinbulak sheep is a local sheep breed with both meat and fat in Xinjiang. Originated in 1771 when the Mongolian South Road returned to the east from the old Turghut, after several centuries of traditional nomadic breeding by the Mongolian herdsmen in the south of Turghut and modern animal husbandry technology (directed breeding and purification and rejuvenation improvement of this variety) organic combined to form. The average weight of adult rams is 69.5 kg, the average weight of adult ewes is 43.2 kg, the weight of lambs is 30.4 kg, the carcass weight is 13.4 kg, and the slaughter rate is 44.1%; the weight of adult sheep is 63.25 kg, the carcass weight is 27.99 kg, and the slaughter rate is 46.5%. It is mainly distributed in Bayingoleng Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture, with the central production area in Hejing County. There are 1 million animals in Xinjiang.
